ISLAMABAD, Aug. 4 (Xinhua) -- The Pakistani leadership reaffirmed the commitment to strengthening bilateral ties with Iran during meetings with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, official statements said.
Pezeshkian, who visited Pakistan from Aug. 2 to Aug. 3, held separate meetings with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari here on Sunday.
During his meeting with Sharif, both sides underscored the long-standing relations between Pakistan and Iran, and vowed to further enhance the ties.
When meeting with President Zardari, the two leaders agreed on the need for coordinated diplomatic efforts to ensure regional peace and stability. ■
